Only ‘Proles’ will rate this masterpiece below 5. But what can you say, as the author himself said: “Animals and Proles are free”.

Enter the world of 1984, where Big Brother watches everything you do.

Moreover, it makes you watch and listen to a 2 minute's hypnotic speech every morning. You shall not be allowed to look away or mute the TV while you watch it, while you listen to it, while you install it completely in your brain.

Living in the world of now, it's not hard to realize we are truly in a system that launches ‘a sub-committees of a sub-committee’ only to decide if people should put the comma before the bracket ends or after it.

The book itself, rather than being a novel, is more of political and sociological prophecies done before 1949 based on pure foresight and speculations of a brilliant mind.

A must-read for all.

Even if you know about the conspiracy theory and understand the fallacy of the system, the book has enough depth and display to stir you even further.

The voice of the protagonist enough engaging that readers will feel little trouble reading the political pages. However, some pages still may feel tedious to read, nevertheless, the voice and the rootable character makes the ride easier.

Still, if readers are expecting a pleasing end, maybe you will be disappointed. If you want the protagonist to [spoiler alert] win, if you want to see Big Brother system to breakdown, then it's not those sort of hero-journey or golden fleece. You can't handle stories that end at failure against evil (not talking about death-tragedies), but if you want reader-satisfaction of seeing the villain getting punched who deserve it, it will keep bugging you after you're done reading. And it has no sequel.

Overall, it still will get an easy 5 star.

[***Readers should expect a thorough study of sociology and civilization structures like a non-fiction book more than just an inexpensive novel for entertainment purpose.]

ABOUT

Reading takes time.

On average a person gets to read around 3000 books in one lifetime if we read 52 books in a year.

Every year hundreds of thousands of books get published.

That's when I knew, I cannot only read, but I must also share and let other readers know which books might be worth reading, which books I've absolutely enjoyed, and which books shouldn't stay unread.

I'm happy to share my thoughts on books and stories and films.

Let's speak words that matter... Let's spread words about incredible stories ...
